Contemplative Challenges Collaborative Project
This project involves the formation of a transdisciplinary working group to address the critical gap between traditional Buddhist understandings of meditation-related adverse effects and contemporary Western lack of understandings of these conditions. The Contemplative Challenges Collaborative brings together a core group of about 20 specialists, including historians, anthropologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, traditional medicine practitioners, and teachers and adepts of Buddhist meditation for a series ofvirtual and in-person dialogues.
