Challenging Psychedelic Experiences Project

The Project aims to learn more about post-psychedelic difficulties and what helps people recover from them; communicate those findings to the general public; and support those experiencing post-psychedelic difficulties.

In the past three years the project has had 500+ attendees at their online support group, published 250+ stories on the Ecstatic Integration newsletter (18,000+ subscribers), had 1,500+ attendees across 11 Psychedelic Safety Seminars, and published 9 academic articles.

July 26 Update

CPEP continues to publish papers on psychedelic harms and harm reduction – recent papers include a paper on beliefs in and experiences of sorcery among psychedelic users, and an analysis of adverse events data from the Global Psychedelic Survey. We’ve just launched a database and network for therapists and psychiatrists who work on post-psychedelic difficulties – part of a project to try and improve the evidence base and standard of care that those in post-psychedelic crisis receive. https://challengingpsychedelicexperiences.com/find-professional-support/
